IN THE LOCKED UPPER ROOM
After the Crucifixion of Christ, the surviving Apostles hide out in fear, abandonment and desperation. Then Jesus appears to them. A short, adult (non-comic) animation, Biblical story. Mutltiple contest wins and placements.
The surviving Apostles, terrified, hide in a locked upper room in a remote Jerusalem building. Meanwhile, two Roman Tomb Guards spread the lie that the body was stolen by Jesus’s followers. Angry crowds gather. More Chaos.
Then gradually, truth prevails. Mary Magdalene has seen the risen Christ. Two disciples from Emmaus rush in; they have also seen and spoken to him. Suddenly Jesus appears to the gathered Apostles in the locked upper room.
Jesus: “Peace be with you…. Receive the Holy Spirit…. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven and whose sins you retain are retained.” Jesus disappears.
The Apostles, now with a mission, regroup. Thomas, a missing Apostle, must be informed. John makes arrangements for the care of Mary, the Mother of Jesus. And unknown to the Apostles, the Pentecost is nearly upon them.
