Illicit

In a daring escape from their high-stakes corporate lives and familial responsibilities, two married executives find themselves entangled in a passionate affair at an upscale hotel. As the day unfolds, they are confronted with intense, heart-wrenching decisions, balancing their undeniable chemistry against the looming consequences of their actions, ultimately facing a pivotal choice about the future of their illicit romance before the day's end.

The screenplay follows Stephanie and Michael, two married executives at a law firm who are having an affair. They meet in a hotel suite to spend a passionate day together, grappling with their feelings for one another and the realities of their situations. Though Stephanie professes her love for Michael and her desire to leave her distant husband for him, Michael struggles with guilt towards his wife and sons. Their conversation veers from playful to tense as issues of race, gender roles, politics and fidelity arise. In the end, though the future of their affair is unclear, the day has shown Stephanie a glimpse of the relationship she yearns for and Michael an escape from the confines of his life.
