Osali

Synopsis

Osali takes place in Salem, Massachusetts, where we see our main character, Abigail, start to bury dismembered bodies in a hole she dug. The hole is located in the backyard of a home she purchased recently. The home used to belong to a witch named Osali, who was caught by the Puritans doing witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials. She was eventually executed by hanging in a forest by the same group of Puritans who captured her. However, after 40 days, her ghost rose from a gravesite called Procters Ledge, where she was buried with no coffin. After the ghost of Osali walks away from her gravesite, she returns to her old home to haunt any individual who moves into her home. Abigail notshe finds that her mother, Krystal, is very sick withices the house from a newspaper ad, and Lucas, a real estate agent, shows her around the house and tries to cshe finds that her mother, Krystal, is very sick withvince her to buy it. However, Abigail sees the ghost of Osali and leaves the house immediately without hesitation. When Abigail returns to her house, we see that she has a very sick mom named Krystal, who has pneumonia. It was a very common disease at the time that killed many people, and there were very few treatments for it. The family Doctor, Doctor Renford, visits Krystal and tells her the bad news, but Abigail is in denial and is motivated to find another cure. She gets visited in a dream by Osali, who promises to save Krystal if Abigail murders a few men in her town in exchange. After another death scare with Krystal, Abigail buys Osali's house, and her murder spree begins. A Detective by the name of Detective Constantine goes to Abigail's new home to investigate the missing men in her town. He notices that each missing person was responding to an ad where Abigail was in search of a husband before they mysteriously disappeared. Before Abigail could talk her way out of a search of her house, Detective Constantine showed her the police warrant. Upon checking the backyard of Abigail's new home, we find out that Krystal had long passed away during Abigail's murder spree. When Detective Constantine examines a buried hole in the ground, he discovers a human skull and immediately reaches for his weapon. A loud gunshot is heard throughout the entire neighborhood. As the sun goes down, the house is set on fire and consumed by flames. We see the ghost of Osali's face scream once more through those flames.
