Portrait of a Suburb Bunny

Maggie and Madison were inseparable, until the passage of time... the inevitability of growing up... and the sprawl of suburbia changes everything. Maggie returns home from reporting overseas to find their once idyllic small town filled with plastic surgery-addicted trophy wives... and Madison controlled by a wealthy mother-in-law who is set on destroying her.

Author Bio: Mary is a little bit Maggie and a little bit Madison. Raised in a small town, she now lives in a classic example of the town depicted in Portrait of a Suburb Bunny.

Mary comes from a long line of writers. A professional corporate writer and journalist for the past 20 years, Mary recently discovered producing with her local theatre company. This combination of writing and producing must be in her DNA, because her great uncle, Wallace MacDonald, got his start in Hollywood as a Keystone Kop, and after appearing in 122 films, became a writer and producer with Columbia Pictures. His influence was a huge part of her childhood and taught Mary that an ambitious Canadian can make his or her mark in Hollywood.

Mary is currently working on an action-adventure screenplay that has received great response from industry professionals, and a bio-pic based on the 70s rock band Klaatu's rise and fall from fame when mistaken as the second-coming of The Beatles.
