Lise's life, past and present, is diverse. She has resided in seven states and three countries, and has served in a multitude of jobs (NSA, teaching, restaurant work, hotel desk, and more). She makes no apologies for being older than many writers. Life gives you stories. As a breast cancer survivor, she begrudges no birthday candles and knows not to waste time. We are not immortal.

She makes no apologies for being older than many writers. Life gives you stories. As a breast cancer survivor, she begrudges no birthday candles and knows not to waste time. We are not immortal.

Lise's writing has appeared in magazines from the US to the UK to Japan. One screenplay (adapted from her article in Air&Space/Smithsonian Magazine), earned a spot in the Black List/Women In Film Feature Lab, and gleaned a semi-finalist award with Nicholl Fellowship. She has also been a semi-finalist with Austin Film Festival and has placed in other contests.

Lise enjoys most genres, but give her a meaty adaptation, little-known piece of history or fascinating character and she will work to bring it to life in a script. Underdogs welcome.

When she isn't writing, she likes to comb thrift shops for "relic paper" (old documents, postcards, photos) to spark an idea for a new script, or re-sell on Ebay. In these days of Covid-19, she stays home and writes.
