SYNOPSIS: George Collinsworth, an African American controversial Stanford University Law Professor, witnessed the murder of his parents at the age of 5, and lived his adult life in pursuit of some sort of revenge against the America's justice system that he believes failed to seek justice for the murder of his parents. As a young boy, Collinsworth lived the life of an orphan. Despite his struggle through life as an African American boy being raised by a conservative Caucasian family, Collinsworth retained the traditional conservative values instilled in him by his adoptive parents. His hard work as a law student and as a law professor finally reached fruition when the Governor of California, a staunch conservative Republican, recommended Collinsworth for a Federal Circuit Court appointment.

As a professor at Stanford University law school, Collinsworth uses his legal writings to advocate for harsher sentencing and complete cessation of the current system of parole. Now, as a judge, Collinsworth struggles to balance his personal resentment of the justice system, with his obligation to the American judiciary process, which he has sworn to uphold. Nonetheless, Collinsworth continues to harbor a grudge against the justice system, which he believes is too lenient to murderers.

Judge Collinsworth's judicial rulings, writings and lectures often time place him in at odds with the District Attorney, Phillip Henson. In fact, Henson, a former police detective, while investigating the recent murder of an ex-convict, Nolan Roberts, released on bail by Judge Collinsworth, uncovers a secret file on Collinsworth. Henson now knows that an ex-convict who was given an early parole murdered Collinsworths parents. The DA then seeks to develop a motive of revenge behind series of murder of ex-convicts, including Nolan Roberts. Meanwhile, Henson requested and receives a warrant for Collinsworth's arrest. But, does the DA have enough evidence to make the jury believe the horrible truth he has uncovered about Collisnworth? With his career on the line, Phillip Henson waits as the jury deliberates on whether to convict Judge Collinsworth with the limited evidence that he presented at this trial.
