LOGLINE: An aspiring actor/actress is discovered in this highly competitive game by a panel of celebrity movie stars who find them competing with these unknown talented contestants.
SYNOPSIS
PREMISE: A complete dialogue or monologue is formulated by a would-be actor/actress contestant from single words that pops up from a screen board. The popped up words flashes for few seconds followed by series of other words. The contestant is expected to instantly arrange these words to formulate a dialogue or monologue. Behind the scene, a visiting celebrity, actor or actress is to respond to the dialogue or monologue. If none of the visiting celebrities responds to these dialogues or monologues, the contestant is eliminated. The popped up words becomes complicated as the game progresses.
OBJECTIVE: The winner is supposed to possess the talent and the ability to rehearse those dialogues with their visiting celebrity actors/actresses partners.
PLOT: The contestants will be required to put all the popped up words in single meaningful sentences in form of dialogues/monologues. Each contestant will be judged by the speed and accuracy of their sentence compositions and the degree of their acting performances. Also, on how meaningful their dialogues/monologues come out to be.
DEVELOPMENT: To build a sense of curiosity for the studio audience, and to the viewers, the visiting celebrities will remain unknown until they respond to a contestant. Each visiting celebrity will only be revealed after the contestant successfully matches their words. Each celebrity here becomes the judge.
A total of twenty-five contestants will appear for the first episode and the elimination process is set for five contestants to match the words of five visiting celebrities. Five contestants are eliminated per show. The visiting celebrity actors and actresses will be rotated each show. Each show will feature new celebrity actors and actresses.
RATIONALE: THE ACTORS STAGE, will offer an opportunity to show- case the talent of aspiring actors and actresses and a great source to 'plug ' the recent project of the visiting celebrity.
