Screenplay as Literature Announces Winner; Discontinues Competition
Screenplay as Literature is proud to announce that
the winner of the 2002 Screenplay as Literature
Competition is "Stripping Bliss" by Nuni-Cunai. A
disturbing tale of an online obsession fraught with
sexual tension, "Stripping Bliss" best personified
the SPL goal of finding screenplays that seek to
go beyond and even shred the traditional screenplay
"envelop".
Over the next six months, "Bliss" will be published
in book and e-book formats and made available on
all major online book stores, a custom designed
web site will be created, a "theme song" will be
composed, query letters will be sent out to 100+
producers and more.
Sadly, this is also the last year that we will
be running this contest. The demands of
competition coordinator David R Williams' own
writing career have made it impossible for him
to continue to devote the time and
resources to the competition that it deserves.
