The West Coast Drama Alumni Clan of Carnegie Mellon University has announced the winner of the 2006 Carnegie Mellon/WCDAC Screenplay Competition: Title: UNCLE CARL

Writer: Bret Ioli of Seattle, Washington.

Logline: UNCLE CARL, chronicles the life of the diminutive Carl Laemmle, who struggles with the Edison Trust, the Great Depression and legendary competition to create and sustain Universal Pictures.

HONORABLE MENTION for the 2006 Screenplay Competition goes to NICKY AND JULIE by Kevin Christopher Snipes of Woodside, New York.
