Zips bring me home

Synopsis

A narrator tells the audience that an asteroid hit the unprotected Earth, shattering the planet and disrupting evolution. Despite the destruction, the seeds of creation, called God’s Seeds, survived. The narrator says that the God’s Seeds (seen as colored crystals) have the potential to rebuild the Earth if they’re brought to the fountain of life. The narrator also reveals that this damaged Earth’s peace was disrupted when a decaying oozeing man arrived.

In a Native American village, a young man named Cha’Tima is ceremonially bonded to a puppy named Choctwa. The two grow up together, until one day, Cha’Tima gives Choctwa a bag of mysterious crystals with a cornerless object with a carved map.. This bag gives Choctwa the ability to understand the “chatter,” or language of all animal species. Cha’Tima reveals that they are the protectors of the bag and must keep it safe, so Choctwa hides the bag.

When Cha’Tima leaves, an evil man/ox hybrid named Wexlercon arrives with his henchmen and poisons Cha’Tima’s food. Upon returning, Cha’Tima eats the food and perishes, but first he tells Choctwa that he will be called upon to use the crystals to help the world. He advises Choctwa to use their powers and call upon his ancestors for help.

Choctwa buries the bag and flees his home.Travels to places where in the past he and Cha'Tima were together. He locks eyes with a filly with a medicine color head cap; who has a glow when she runs. Traveling coming across two dogs, Harfurred and Pounder, who need help. Choctwa assists them, and they form a friendship. Two years later, Choctwa now goes by the name Zips and has built a friendship with a local farmer named Bill. He intends to ask Bill if he can live in his barn, but he is followed by Wexlercon and his Horsedog henchmen. A group of Furgrow Birds (evolutionarily challenged birds), led by a bird named Strong Tail, discuss how they’re going to find enough food to survive the winter. A female bird named Knotty flirts with Strong Tail, but he remains focused on his duty. They notice Zips and the evil creatures who follow him, and decide to find out what he’s doing.

Strong Tail confronts Zips, who agrees to put in a good word with the farmer, Bill, to see if he can help them get extra food for the winter. Zips tells Bill that he can talk, and while Bill is surprised, he’s excited that Zips wants to stay and offers him a home on the farm. Ecstatic, Zips introduces himself to the horses that live there, including their leader, Royal. Zips returns to see Pounder and Harfurred, who agree to lead Zips’s stalkers astray so that he can reclaim the bag of crystals. Meanwhile, Zips finds himself stuck in a swamp and meets a group of evolutionarily stunted creatures named Skoogies. The Skoogies tell Zips the legend of the God’s Seeds, and how the Furgrow birds helped to steal them from Wexlercon, who used them for evil. He learns that the Skoogies were victims of Wexlercon, and decides to help them.

While Zips retrieves the crystals, his friends are caught by Wexlercon and his goons, who beat them up as punishment. Wexlercon catches up to Zips and the two fight, but Zips is protected from Wexlercon’s powers. He also starts to try to use the bag’s power to transform into the other species that are his ancestors. Zips reunites with Strong Tail, who agrees to go with him to Bills. Bill is surprised to meet more animals he can communicate with, but accepts the birds’ offer to be his horse groomers. The horses are also impressed and give their approval. Zips searches for Harfurred and Pounder and finds them in the care of a dog named Dorrance. Zips is immediately infatuated, and asks Dorrance to join them so he can protect her from Wexlercon. Zips also uses the bag to teach the birds and other animals how to shapeshift into the stronger forms of their ancestors.

After updating his new friends on the situation, Zips follows a spiritual pull to a cliff where he has a vision. God appears to him as the chief from his bonding ceremony and tells Zips that he has been chosen for a great mission. Zips is told that he must form an army. Then use the map and take God’s Seeds to the fountain of life in Wexlercon’s old kingdom. This will stop the mistaken evolution on Earth and reset the planet to a more balanced ecosystem.

Zips tells his friends what happened, then takes Dorrance with him to recruit the Skoogies. Zips assembles his troops, including his dog friends, Dorrance, the Furgrow birds, the Skoogies, Royal, and a young filly named Rocksand. He trains his army to access their ancestor forms, and they prepare for their journey. Meanwhile, Wexlercon waits for the door to his realm to open so he can return to where he is the most powerful. Once they receive a sign, Zips and his army begin their journey. They enter a cavern and cross through a glowing doorway into Wexlercon’s world. Zips’s army lands in the ocean and frantically swims for shore (a nearby island), but some of the Skoogies are lost to sharks and predators.

With help from the birds’ ancestor forms, the group heads to the mainland, where Royal and Dorrance are abducted by giant vultures. Zips is heartbroken but refuses to stop looking for them. Dorrance and Royal manage to fight their way free and joyfully reunite. As Zips’s army continues its march through Wexlercon’s land, the villain himself moves towards his old stronghold. Meanwhile, Bill and the animals back at the farm miss their friends.

Wexlercon reaches his old stronghold but is surprised to find that it has been taken over by a bold Horsedog named Hazzton. Hazzton kicks Wexlercon out, and Wexlercon decides to gather an army and take his city back. Meanwhile, Zips and his army journey through a desert. The army splits up. Royal and Rocksand meet other horsedogs. They reveal to them that in five nights there will be a great battle between Wexlercon and Hazzton. When the army regroups, Zips is told. Zips tells Rocksand he remembers her from his eary life. Zips places the task of finding the door to the fountain wth Royal and Rocksand. Shows them the map. They must search the city and its water caverns. They are to look for a long-forgotten mark at its entrance.

Royal and Rocksand journey to the city to forge a truce with Hazzton, while Zips and his team gather an army of cacti and plants to fight for them. Zips also teaches the other creatures to use weapons. Rocksand and royal convince Hazzton to help them, and with the help of an elder, they find the entrance to the fountain. After marking the path, they return to Zips, who is leading his army against Wexlercon’s. Zips and his army reach the city and make it to the tunnel leading to the fountain. Meanwhile, Wexlercon confronts and kills Hazzton takes the crown. Wexlercon places the royal crown on his head.

Zips tells the wounded to stay and guard the way, promising that they’ll be healed once he makes it to the fountain. Then Zips, Dorrance, Strong Tail, and Knotty head for the door. They make it to the end and return the crystals, which completely revitalizes the Earth. Animals are healed, evolution is corrected, and resources are once again plentiful. The rebirth also affects Wexlercon. Mold oozes from his body seeping into the Earth. His body collapses into dusk. The crown lays abandon.

Back at the farm, Bill and Harfurred marvel at what their friends have accomplished, and hope they will one day return.
