Synopsis

The Gamma Chi Phi fraternity is known for their great pranks and wild drunken parties, all financed with proceeds form their fake I.D. business, Peeping Tom website, and sales of their home grown marijuana. One of their parties land ZACHARY, the cocky and inept president and his best friend, TERRANCE, who is a brazen smart-ass in the campus jail. BRAD ZIMMERMAN, the Campus Police Chief, who thinks his shit smells like roses, sees this as the opportunity he has been waiting for to finally get their charter revoked. But, the Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. PAUL STEVENS, has a deceased brother who was an alumnus of the fraternity, so he wants to give the guys one last chance to redeem themselves. He decides to bring back an old forgotten tradition, the “frat mom.” DORIS EICHELMAN, a strong willed, elderly Jewish woman, had a husband who is electrocuted to death in a casino. She finds out that he has gambled away all their money and is forced to sell her home. With no where to go, she asks for advice from her longtime Jewish friends; HARRIET, a loudmouth know-it-all, NAOMI, who thinks she’s still twenty and is the freshest meat in town, and ESTHER, a meek and mild dear soul. Esther tells her that her son, Paul, is looking for a house mother who has the chutzpah to make drastic changes in a fraternity that has gotten into some trouble. Doris eagerly accepts after finding out that it’s free room and board with a salary to boot. Doris’s obnoxious son, NORMAN JR. and his gentile wife, BESS, are furious and want her to go to an assisted living facility instead. Her high school granddaughter, JESSICA, is thrilled to be around college guys. Chief Zimmerman decides to take matters into his own hands and sets up a sting operation to catch the frat boys selling fake I.D.’s. Doris learns of the plot and catches them first. She destroys the equipment, because she knows if she turns the frat boys in, she won’t have a place to live. The fraternity is up-in-arms and vows to get rid of her. FRANKIE MANCETTI, the next big Mafioso in the making and TANK, a hefty oaf-like looser orgchestrates kidnaping her beloved dog, PEPE. The ransom note says that if she doesn’t leave, the dog dies. Doris is devastated. Zachary is so guilt-ridden that he gets the dog back. Besides, he is infatuated with Doris’s granddaughter, Jessica, and doesn’t want her to know that he is involved in the kidnapping. The fraternity brothers think he has become a loser president. A big party is planned, and the guys know that Doris will ruin the whole thing, so they scam her by making it look like she won the Alpo Dog Food Contest. Her prize is a five-day cruise. With her away they throw the biggest and best beer fest of all time. Doris realizes she’s been scammed when the ship doesn’t show up at the dock. When she returns to the fraternity house, all hell breaks loose and payback’s a bitch. Since the I.D. sales have halted, there’s not enough money to hold the Spring Fling. Mancetti heads up the Peeping Tom Website and installs cameras in the Zeta house. He makes a killing on live video of G-SPOT, a girl in love with masturbation. Norman Jr. catches Zachary and Jessica going at it in Zachary’s car and threatens to have him arrested for attempted rape on his seventeen-year-old daughter unless Doris leaves the university effective Spring Break. She respects Zachary for getting Pepe back and doesn’t want him arrested, so she agrees. The fraternity thinks that Zachary is once again their Chi Phi illustrious master leader. Terrance brings in a new crop of young marijuana plants and tells Doris they are special tomato plants. She takes it upon herself, without the guys’ knowledge, to care for the plants. She tears off the black paper on the windows, turns off the fluorescent lights, and starts feeding the plants fish emulsion. Before you know it, the plants are thriving. One of Zimmerman’s spies catches her watering the plants. Zimmerman has her arrested. The Greeks on campus rally behind Doris and the situation has created media frenzy. The frat boys work together with Harriet, Esther, Naomi, and Norman Jr. to devise a plan to exchange the marijuana plants with tomato plants before Doris’s court date. At the court hearing, the judge discovers that the marijuana plants are really tomato plants and dismisses the case. Just as things get back to some normalcy, Doris accidentally discovers the Peeping Tom website and is shocked to see Vice President Stevens having sex with a dorm girl. She takes the tape and shares it with Harriet and Naomi but keeps it from Esther because it would kill Esther to know what her son is up to. Just after this, Zimmerman’s spies tell him where the peeping website is being controlled and he raids the fraternity house. He takes all the computer equipment into custody. The fraternity is shut down and Doris is fired. The women tell Zachary about the infidelity of Dr. Stevens. Zachary uses the information to blackmail him. Unless Dr. Stevens fires Zimmerman and reinstates the fraternity and Doris as their frat mom, he will go to the media. With his back up against the wall, he agrees. Spring Break comes and Doris is still the frat mom. When Doris gets a call from Mancetti saying that all the guys have been arrested in Mazatlán, Norman Jr. drives an old school bus to Mexico with Naomi, Esther, Harriet, and Doris ready to bail them out.
