Yrrem Samtsirhc from Mars

A gentle, highly intelligent alien crash-lands in a small town just before Christmas and forms an unlikely friendship with a girl with Down syndrome. Together, they spark a movement of kindness that transforms the community—forcing bullies, families, and even the town’s adults to rediscover empathy, diversity, and the magic of unity.

Yrrem introduces a gentle, androgynous, highly intelligent alien whose arrival in a quiet town sets off a chain of funny, whimsical, and emotionally resonant events. Initially targeted by school bullies for looking different, Yrrem finds refuge with Mrs. Rosen, the town’s warmest soul, and her visiting granddaughter Rebecca—a confident swimmer with Down syndrome who understands all too well how it feels to be underestimated.

Yrrem’s hidden gift is her ability to see the good in people and amplify it. From adults burdened by routine to children unsure of where they fit, her quiet cosmic magic nudges everyone toward compassion. When Rebecca and a spirited Hispanic classmate team up with Yrrem to create a video celebrating diversity, they set off an adventure full of laughter, mishaps, and big-hearted breakthroughs.

In the process, Yrrem and the townspeople face life-changing choices: Will they continue repeating old patterns of exclusion, or step into a kinder version of themselves? Even the bullies find themselves confronted with the consequences of their actions—and ultimately choose empathy, thanks to Yrrem’s influence.

As word spreads, a famous director offers to amplify the girls’ message, turning their small-town project into a worldwide call for acceptance. All the while, the community grows closer to Yrrem, unaware that she is not quite human. Rebecca begins to wonder if Yrrem might be a modern Santa… or perhaps something even more magical.

Author Bio:
Naomi Lisner is an actor, writer, and occasional director who believes stories should make you feel something — preferably laughter, catharsis, and maybe a tiny existential crisis (the fun kind). After years working in front of the camera, she eventually picked up the pen, the director’s chair, and a paintbrush, proving she has trouble sitting still for more than five minutes.

An award-winning storyteller, Naomi creates work with heart, humour, and characters who feel real enough to text you at 2 a.
