Roswell International Film Festival and Digital Shootout

The Roswell International Sci-Fi Film Festival and Digital-shootout (RISF) is looking for your short scripts to make into a movie. The RISF 2013 Digital Film Shoot-Out is the only filmmaking experience dedicated to bringing a screenwriters vision from “script to screen” in one week. The RISF Digital Film Shoot-Out will provide crew and equipment (A $50,000 dollar value) to five filmmakers who have the opportunity to direct their winning short that will screen at the RISF Digital Film Gala at the end of the week! This is a non-union, non-pay opportunity, but the RISF committee will be provided lodging, on-set meals, IMDB credit and “significant exposure” at the international film festival.

The amazing team at St. Petersburg/Clearwater Film Commission are providing a $20,000 production grant to one lucky winner who will have the opportunity of a lifetime! The winning writer and director will be flown to Florida, cast & crew the film using Stage 32, be mentored on set by Sundance director JT Mollner and have the entire production professionally managed by production company Digital Caviar.

We are looking for a diverse palette of comedy screenplays with the following categories. 1-40 pages is considered a short and 41-150 pages is considered a feature in our world. 1) Comedy Short & Comedy Features Screenplays 2) Dark Comedy Short & Dark Comedy Feature Screenplays 3) Comedy TV Episode, Sitcom, or Webisode: Short & Feature (commonly called a Teleplay) 4) Romantic Comedy Short and Romantic Comedy Feature Screenplays 80% of the submissions go to the Comedy Short & Feature Categories, which are the most competitive.
