Working with top industry mentors, annual four-day intensive lab is designed to help participants develop film and TV projects in an intensive and supportive environment. You will learn skills and be exposed to opportunities to get your work made and seen. The four-day lab is enrolled through competitive application process. NHMC Television Writers Program

For nearly twenty years, the NHMC Series Scriptwriters Program has helped launch the careers of more than 200 Latinx writers. Ten diverse Latinx writers nationwide are selected for a five-week intense writers lab. At the end of the program, these writers will have a half an hour original series pilot, which they will pitch to industry leaders, beginning with our partners at ABC & NBC.

Sun Valley Film Festival/High Scribe Screenplay Competition

Taking place in Sun Valley, Idaho in the days leading up to the 2020 Sun Valley Film Festival (March 18-22), the High Scribe residency will offer four finalists rare opportunities including Industry roundtables, insider access during the Sun Valley Film Festival, and personalized face time with Academy Award winner Stephen Gaghan. During the Festival, Gaghan will host the Sun Valley Screenwriters Lab, which will include a moderated discussion with Gaghan, live table read, and the announcement of the 2020 High Scribe winner, selected by High Scribe judge, Jennifer Todd.

Now in our 6th year, the Imaginarium Convention is a three day annual event held in Louisville, Kentucky centered entirely around creatives and the world of storytelling, including the worlds of movies, books, gaming, music, cosplay, art, and comics/graphic novels. The Imaginarium Convention features extensive programming content, with panels and workshops presented by over 200 professional guests, including our Guest of Honor Jeffrey Reddick, the creator of the Final Destination Franchise!
